PEP starts in 20 minutes in the Weems Library! We will be going over U.S. School Systems, Healthy Screen Time/Safe Technology use, and ESOL/Special Education programs.
Dear families whose students are enrolled in the “Summit K-12” program, you are invited to join us on Wednesday, November 5, from 4 to 5 PM, before PEP (Parents as Educational Partners).
Summit K-12 is a program that supports our English-learning students. For each student enrolled in the program, there are four family accounts available for family members.
The program is online, designed to match each adult’s exact level, and can be accessed using a tablet or laptop. It is meant for *English-learning families* and aims to support the growth of both the child and the family.
Weems will provide time after school for technology use, information about accessing accounts, and assistance with the program.
If you are interested in attending, please fill out the Google Form below.
Dear Families,
We are excited to invite you to PEP Session 3 on Wednesday, October 22, from 5:30–7:30 PM in the Weems Library. This session will focus on understanding report cards and tips for a successful parent-teacher conference. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to support your child’s academic success and build stronger connections with teachers. We’ll provide childcare and snacks for children of parents or families who attend.
What is PEP?
The Parent Engagement Program (PEP) aims to increase the academic achievement of English Learning students by developing and maintaining strong school-home partnerships. When we come together as parents and educators, we strengthen our children’s learning and help them reach their full potential.
Attached to this email is the PEP schedule for the remainder of the year. We have four sessions left until December 3rd, so don’t miss out!
We look forward to seeing you there!
Warm regards,
Weems PEP Team: Vicki Burkett (School Psychologist), Patricia Montecinos (Family Liaison)
