Please be aware that you may notice a significant presence of emergency vehicles during this time. Transportation Update: A fire alarm was activated at Metz Middle School during dismissal. The Fire Department responded swiftly and determined it was a false alarm. Due to the delayed departure from Metz, buses may experience slight delays at other schools and stops. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Calendar Reminders - No School Thursday and Friday for Students
You are invited to our Back-to-School Night event held on Thursday September 26th from 6:00-7:00pm. This event includes all classrooms aside from our kindergarten classrooms who held an event on September 5th. We will have two sessions, one beginning at 6pm and one beginning at 6:30pm. The sessions will be approximately 20 minutes allowing you to learn more about your child’s classroom experience this school year. Please join us if you’re able.
Please note that Manassas City Hall has officially reopened and School Board “Regular” Business Meetings will return to that location, beginning with the September 10, 2024 meeting (6 pm). City Hall is Iocated at 9027 Center Street in Old Town Manassas.

Important Safety Reminder
Manassas City Public Schools was informed of a suspicious event that occurred while a student was walking to school in the Wellington Road area. The Manassas City Police Department is actively investigating the incident, but please talk to your students regarding their safety when walking to and from school. Students should never get into a vehicle with someone they do not know. If students witness anything suspicious, they should tell a trusted adult or contact the Manassas City Police.
