Tablet Program

The student tablet program is operated by Mr. Michael Laverty. The Device Assistance Desk (D.A.D.) is located in the Library in room 1014. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8am - 1pm and 1:30pm-3pm. The office is closed from 1-1:30pm for lunch.

Every student at Osbourn High School receives a laptop provided by the school district. Starting in August 2024, 9th & 10th grade students will receive a Chromebook. Students in 11th & 12th grade will receive a Windows device.

We believe the opportunity for each student to have their own device will result in an overall enhanced educational experience, better student organizational skills, and expansion of learning and sharing beyond the walls of the traditional classroom.

We look forward to the potential that this technology will provide for our students and our instructional program.

For tablet issues/troubleshooting, please refer to the links in the "Tablet Program" section of the OHS website.

Set up your profile and change your password

You can set up your profile and change your password from ANY computer, tablet, or cell phone. You do not have to be on school property to do this.  But remember, if your school laptop is running Microsoft Windows, and you change the password while you are not at school - the "new" password will not open your laptop, the first time, until you are back on an MCPS wifi network.  However, the new password WILL open Schoology, PowerSchool, and your Gmail if you are using your own computer, tablet, or phone.  If you have a Chromebook, you must follow the instructions called "Chromebook - After You Change Password!"
