Students from the Metz Middle School Integrated Research and Osbourn High School’s AP Seminar and AP Research classes recently took a trip to the Library of Congress, where they gained hands-on experience in historical research and explored one of the nation’s largest collections of knowledge.
During the visit, AP Research students had the unique opportunity to meet with a research librarian and learn how to access and leverage the extensive resources available at the Library of Congress. This valuable experience gave them practical skills to elevate their academic research projects.
Meanwhile, students from other classes explored the iconic library, immersing themselves in its vast historical collections. Highlights included a deep dive into the history of photography and viewing the Gutenberg Bible, one of the earliest major works printed with movable type.
This enriching experience offered all students a chance to expand their research techniques and deepen their appreciation for history and culture, inspiring academic growth and a lasting connection to one of America’s most esteemed institutions.
