Dear Mayfield Family and Community Members, February 2025
Mayfield Intermediate School will hold a Career Day for our students on Friday, April 11th. Career Day is a fun-filled day where students will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers. They will meet members of our community and engage in activities designed to increase their awareness of the world of work.
We are currently in need of community members who are willing to share their careers with us. Our career day will resemble a college fair, and all of our speakers will have their own booth used to showcase their careers and talents. We ask that you arrive by 11:15 am in order to set up. The fair will begin at 11:30 am and conclude at 1:45 pm. Guest speakers will talk to students about what they do at work, what they like about their jobs, what type of training/education is needed, and how basic skills/subjects that the children are learning now can help them in this job. Please feel free to bring handouts, prop,s and visual aids (stickers, trinkets, business cards, magnets, etc.). In return, you will receive many smiles and priceless questions. Lunch will also be provided.
We hope that you will consider participating in our Career Day activity. If you are available, please fill out the following link:https://tinyurl.com/Mayfield25
The link can also be found on Mayfield’s homepage. Please RSVP no later than March 17th. Questions can be emailed to Jill LaScola at jlascola@mcpsva.org or call 571-377-6756. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. We hope that you can join us for this special event!
