Dear Families,
Effective tomorrow, September 24, 2026, we are making an immediate change to our drop-off and pick-up procedures. This change is necessary to address significant safety concerns regarding students and families parking in various lots and crossing Eagle Way on foot where there are no crosswalks.
This irregular foot traffic severely impedes the flow of vehicles, creating a high-risk environment when combined with heavy traffic volumes and inexperienced student drivers. To protect our students, we are implementing the following changes immediately:
Osbourn Parking Lots Closed: The parking lots on the Osbourn side of Eagle Way are now strictly closed to all traffic except for OHS staff and students traveling to and from Osbourn High School.
Mandatory Crosswalk Use: All walkers must cross Eagle Way exclusively at the designated crosswalk managed by the crossing guard.
Car Riders & Kiss & Ride: All car riders must use the designated Kiss and Ride loop. Drivers must pull all the way forward before dropping off students to keep the line m oving efficiently. Eliminating the irregular foot traffic will also help speed up this line.
School Visitors: If you need to visit the school to drop off packages, sign students in, or conduct business, you must park in a designated visitor spot in the Baldwin parking lot and use the controlled crosswalk in front of the school.
Thank you for your immediate cooperation and commitment to keeping our students safe.
