10/23/25 - This is an important message for Jennie Dean Elementary families. Manassas City Public Schools was just informed of a water main break in the Dean area. The City will turn off the water to the school at 11 am. Dean students will also be dismissed at 11 am due to the impact on operations. Please follow normal dismissal protocols when arriving at the school. All after-school and evening activities at Dean are also canceled due to the water main break. Thank you.

The Secure the Building status at Round Elementary School has been lifted. Law enforcement has determined that the area is safe, and normal school activities have resumed.
Out of an abundance of caution, there will be a continued police presence in the area to ensure everyone’s safety and provide additional reassurance.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we took necessary precautions to keep our students and staff safe.
Out of an abundance of caution, the school is currently in a Secure the Building status due to reports of a suspicious person in the area.
There is no immediate threat to students or staff. During this time, students will remain indoors, and no visitors will be allowed to enter or leave the building.
Law enforcement is aware and monitoring the situation. We will notify families once it is safe to resume normal operations.

As always, please report any suspicious activity to the police.
Manassas City Public Schools and the Manassas City Police Department are aware of the social media post regarding Osbourn High School. The police are working diligently to check its validity. At this time, the police do not believe the post to be credible. This is an active investigation. There will be an increased police presence around the school.
Updates will be provided as the investigation continues. We thank everyone for their patience on this matter.
