Manassas City Public Schools recently hosted the Rally for the RAIL “Under the Lights,” a spirited competition that brought together special education students from three local school divisions: Osbourn High School (MCPS), Manassas Park High School (Manassas Park City Schools), and Forest Park High School (Prince William County Public Schools).

Held under the Friday night lights at Osbourn’s football stadium, students showcased their skills in a variety of track and field events, including the 40-yard dash, soccer kick, javelin throw, standing long jump, frisbee/discus toss, and an obstacle course. Medals were awarded to the top three finishers in each event, celebrating the incredible achievements of every participant.

A big shoutout to the volunteers from Micron Technology, MCPS staff, and student helpers who rallied behind the competitors, encouraging them all the way to the finish line. Congratulations to Forest Park High School for successfully defending their title and once again taking home the RAIL trophy.

All the students did their best and made the event memorable for everyone!
