Surplus Property

Manassas City Public Schools' Procurement Office manages the sale of its surplus equipment/assets through online auction sales on Public Surplus.  Instructions on participation and registration are posted on their website and there is no fee to register. The program allows for transparent tracking and reporting of surplus property transactions.  The payments received from the sales are deposited back into the general fund for the public schools.

MCPS surplus auctions include items such as:

  • School Buses

  • Electronic Equipment

  • Facilities/Maintenance Equipment

  • Furniture and Supplies

  • School/Sports Equipment

All auctions will state the rules, start times, location and other pertinent information for the bidder. Each auction is given a minimum bid amount/threshold that must be met before a sale is final. All items are sold as-is and are for pick-up only. MCPS will not ship items to bidders. There are no returns or recourse against MPCS. No guarantee, warranty or other representation is expressed or implied as to the working condition of said property, and no claims will be considered for damages or missing parts not reported in the sales listing.
