Student Assistance Program

Student Assistance offers services to help students and their families.  Our services include: 

  • Short-term individual counseling

  • Student support groups (not available in all schools) 

  • Liaison to community resources 

  • Referral aid, follow-up support and collaboration with community-based mental health service providers  

  • Faculty/Teaching Team consultation

  • Classroom presentations

  • Parent conference and consultation

  • Disciplinary Appeal Hearings (in accordance with school board policy) 

  • Screening for substance abuse risk

  • Screening for depression 

  • Drug abuse and mental health information

  • Substance abuse education
