Gifted Advisory Committee (GTAC)

The Gifted and Talented Advisory Committee (GTAC) serves as an advisory body to Manassas City Public Schools through its Superintendent. The Committee, composed of parents, teachers, administrators, students, and/or community representatives, annually reviews the local plan for the education of gifted students, determines the extent to which the plan for the previous year was implemented and makes recommendations regarding division services and programming for gifted students. The committee strives to be representative of all geographical areas and to reflect the diverse ethnicities of Manassas City Public Schools.

All MCPS families are invited to attend GTAC meetings, but only official members will have voting abilities. Every effort is made to ensure membership is representative of the geography and demographics of the MCPS school system and is composed of parents/guardians of gifted learners from the different schools, school personnel, and other community members who are interested in gifted education. To nominate yourself to the committee for the upcoming school year, please submit a Nomination Form
