Footsteps2Brilliance® (F2B) is an interactive, mobile literacy program that has been proven to increase academic vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking skills in young students. Manassas City Public Schools, together with F2B,  is leading Virginia and the nation in creating a transformative Preschool (pre-K) model that addresses the third grade reading dilemma.

 All residents of the City of Manassas, regardless of their enrollment status with Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS),  will be able to download the curriculum app for free on their smartphones and tablets, or use the program on their traditional computers. This will ensure that every student  in grades pre-K through 3 in the city will have access to hundreds of books, songs, and learning activities regardless of their socio-economic status. Additionally, the F2B library consists of beautifully written and illustrated e-books complete with an English/Spanish toggle switch on every page to reach even the most struggling readers. It is the goal of MCPS and F2B to better prepare students for the increased rigor of Kindergarten and beyond.
