Special Education

Our mission is to provide quality, high-level education within a collaborative environment involving family, students, and the community. As a department, we strive to enhance student learning and assist them in meeting and exceeding their personal and educational goals. The special education program at Grace E Metz is available to all students who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) in seventh and eighth grade. Our program offers classes that are tailored to students' educational and social needs.  We offer self-contained and Inclusion classes for all core classes.  In addition, a writing strategies class is offered to those students who would benefit.
