Osbourn High School Wins Cappies Award
May 28, 2019...The Critics' Awards Program, also known as Cappies, has awarded Osbourn High School (OHS) Theater students for costumes they designed for the recent production of Beauty and the Beast.
Regional critics and peers from the Cappies organization presented OHS students Charlotte Thomas, Juliana Misas-Segovia and Jordan Drake with a trophy at the 20th annual Cappies Gala at the Kennedy Center on Monday, May 27. Also in attendance were Manassas City Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kevin Newman and School Board Chairman Stanford S. Williams.
Many other student groups were involved in the making of the costumes, including OHS Tech Squad and OHS Art Club. “Congratulations to our three student leaders of our costume department! Many students helped make these fantastic costumes a reality, with those three leading the charge,” said OHS Theater teacher Stephen Harvey.
