Citywide Registration Opens for Free Literacy App
July 13, 2015 - Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) is teaming up with Footsteps2Brilliance (F2B) in an effort to accelerate early learning, close the literacy gap and support English language learners.
F2B is an interactive, mobile literacy program that has been proven to increase academy vocabulary, comprehension and critical thinking skills in young children. Additionally, the F2B library consists of beautifully written and illustrated e-books complete with an English/Spanish toggle switch on every page to reach even the most struggling readers.
MCPS is providing the F2B app for free to the parents of all pre-K through 3rd grade children who live in the City of Manassas. The engaging app will help prepare children for school, but it is not a requirement for the student to be enrolled in MCPS to register for the app. City residents should visit http://www.mcpsva.org to register for access to download the app for free.
More information about the program, which is also available for use on traditional desktop computers, is available at www.footsteps2brilliance.com
