Student Named to State's Honor Choir; Screaming Eagles Receive Excellent Rating
Osbourn High School student Ryan Phommachanh has been selected for the Virginia Senior Honors Choir. The Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) Honors Choir provides an opportuity for top student singers in the state to rehearse challenging music and work with a distinguished choral conductor at an advanced level. Only seniors are eligible to audition for the highly-selective choir, which accepts the top 20-25 students for each voice across the state. Ryan will perform with the Honors Choir November 16-18, 2017 in Hot Springs, VA. He was recognized at the October 24th regulary-scheduled School Board meeting.

The Osbourn High School 'Screaming Eagles' Marching Band has made great gains during the 2017 competition season, improving their scores by nearly 20 pints in Percussion and General Effect categories. Additionally, the band earned a rating of "Excellent" at the Virginia Band and Orchestra Director's Assocation Marching Assessment the weekend of October 21-22, 2017 in Ashburn, VA. The group was recognized at the October 24th School Board meeting.
