March 2, 2022 - With more than 20 years of experience in publicDel. Maldonado and Dr. Goldzung schools, Dr. Laura Goldzung is familiar with the occasional field trip. However, she found herself in unfamiliar territory when she was personally invited to the Virginia Capitol by Delegate Michelle E. Maldonado (D-50).

Del. Maldonado, who represents areas of Prince William County and the City of Manassas, serves on the Education committee, as well as the Privileges and Elections committee. She is in her first year as a legislator.

Among other bills and resolutions sponsored by Maldonado is House Joint Resolution 241.The joint resolution commends Dr. Laura Goldzung as both an educator and administrator with Manassas City Public Schools. On March 1, 2022, Dr. Goldzung and her son visited the Capitol to hear the reading of the resolution.

“Today, I have the honor to present Dr. Goldzung with a commending resolution,” Del. Maldonado stated on the House Floor. “This is but a small token of appreciation and a reminder to all of us to reflect on the incredible and impactful work that our school administrators, educators and staff have on our children, students and community.”
