Over 600 Students Participate in AMVETS Americanism Contests
May 15, 2018...Manassas City Public Schools is proud to announce over 600 students entered the American Veterans (AMVETS) National Americanism contests for 2018.
The AMVETS Americanism Program is a resource for schools and youth organizations teaching children in kindergarten through 12th grade about their American heritage, civics and citizenship. The program includes flag drawing, poster and essay contests that are grade specific. The theme for the 2017-2018 program was “Why is the Constitution important to me?”
The following students' work will represent MCPS. They will be presented with a certificate at their school before the end of the school year. Congratulations!
