The Flu season has begun and Flu is currently active in Manassas City and communities nationwide. COVID-19 and other illnesses are also active in the community.

ESSER III Funds Feedback
Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) has received American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III funds to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools. MCPS is collecting feedback from the community on how these funds are being used in support of the MCPS Approved Instructional Plan and Projected Costs for American Rescue Plan Act Funding.

MCPS Launches Dinner Program
Starting Monday, August 22, 2022, all Manassas City Public Schools students (ages 18 & under) can enjoy free dinner Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Osbourn High School.

Free School Meals
We are pleased to inform you that Manassas City Public Schools will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for school year 2022-2023.
What does this mean for you and your children attending the school(s) identified above?
Great news for you and your students! All enrolled students of Manassas City Public Schools are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2022-2023 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

Online Registration Now Open for SY 2022-2023
If you are new to Manassas City and have a child to enroll in MCPS, you can complete a portion of the new student registration process online. After completing the online form, you will need to set up an appointment at your child’s school to complete registration and present required documents. Inclement Weather Procedures
The decision to close schools early, for an entire day or to delay school opening will be made as early as possible prior to scheduled starting times. Except in unusual circumstances demanding emergency measures, the decision will be made prior to 5:30 a.m. on the morning of a closing or delay in opening, so that the information can be broadcast on various communication outlets prior to 6 a.m.
