Reminder to All Families
As we prepare for colder weather, Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) would like to remind families of the importance of having accurate and up-to-date information on file at your child's school.The MCPS Parent Portal provides parents/guardians 24-hour access to their child(ren)'s grades, attendance, and demographic information. Parents/guardians may also update contact information in the portal, allowing MCPS to contact you as quickly as possible during an emergency.Recordatorio a todas las familias

MCPS Launches Dinner Program
Starting Monday, August 28, 2023, all Manassas City Public Schools students (ages 18 & under) can enjoy free dinner Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Osbourn High School.

Review and Revision of the 2024 English Standards of Learning
The Virginia Department of Education is inviting individuals to review and provide comments about the proposed Standards of Learning for English Language Arts. ESSER III Funds Feedback
Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) has received American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III funds to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools. MCPS is collecting feedback from the community on how these funds are being used in support of the MCPS Approved Instructional Plan and Projected Costs for American Rescue Plan Act Funding.

Illness prevention belongs to all members of our community: teachers, staff, administrators, students, family members and the surrounding community. The Flu season has begun and Flu is currently active in Manassas City and communities nationwide. COVID-19 and other illnesses are also active in the community.

Inclement Weather Procedures
The decision to close schools early, for an entire day or to delay school opening will be made as early as possible prior to scheduled starting times. Except in unusual circumstances demanding emergency measures, the decision will be made prior to 5:30 a.m. on the morning of a closing or delay in opening, so that the information can be broadcast on various communication outlets prior to 6 a.m.
