    ESOL at Metz

The ESOL Department provides both sheltered and inclusion classes to provide the support our ESOL students need. English Sheltered classes are about 18 students taught by a English/ESOL teacher. Inclusion classes are taught by a GenED teacher and a n ESOL teacher co-teaches by his/her side. We use the co-teaching model.

WIDA (World-class Instructional Design and Assessment) is a consortium of states dedicated to the design and implementation of high standards and equitable educational opportunities for English language learners. Using this assessment helps us determine what classes our ESOL students need.
