Mrs. Boltz

I am originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Penn State University. I moved to Virginia in 2013, and began teaching at Baldwin. Before moving to Virginia, I was a preschool teacher. At Baldwin, I taught third grade for three years, I spent one year in second grade and this is my fifth year teaching fourth grade! I graduated in May 2018, with my master's degree in Education with a concentration in American History from George Mason University. My favorite unit of study in Virginia Studies is the Civil War! I also enjoy reading, photography, walking my dogs Harper and Penny, traveling and college football. I've started to dabble in outdoor gardening as well. Last year I was recognized by the VFW as a teacher of the year for Virginia for the National Citizenship Education! You can read about it here.

Please be sure to check your student's Schoology courses for resources and information on current units of study!
