Introduction - My name is Melissa Boyer, and I have been teaching in the science department here at Osbourn for 13 years, and have now taken over as the Science Department Chair. Time flies when you are having fun! As a member of the science department I have taught Biology, ESOL biology, Honors biology, AP Biology, Ecology, Introduction to Biotechnology and Human Anatomy & Physiology. I have enjoyed being able to teach all the different levels of students that walk the halls of Osbourn, and also enjoy being the sponsor of our National Honor Society. Educational Background - I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, my teaching license from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and my Masters in Education from George Mason University, with a focus in ESOL strategies.
