My schedule has settled into mostly teaching History - 7th Grade Geography and 8th Grade Civics. I am a special education teacher assigned to support certain students on my list or caseload but when I am in a large class, I am happy to help all students. Your child may work with me if they are a student who gets support. Or your child may have me in class co-teaching with the general education teacher. I work with Mr. Nix, Ms. Zenewics, Ms. Daley, and Ms. Boswell for Social Studies. I also work for 1 period of 8th grade Science with Ms. Branigan.

My schedule has also settled into Book Club on Tuesday afternoons. We have about 8 in the club so more are welcome - 7th or 8th graders. We are currently reading "I am Malala" by Malala Yousafzai. The Book Club is intended for enjoyment of reading and discussion. Your child may try it or attend any time but does not have to committ. Acitvity Buses leave Metz at 4:30 or you can pick your child up.

I also stay every Thursday afternoon for any student who may need extra help or has been assigned after-school-detention by me. Your child can stay any Thursday as long as they have permission from you and you know they are safe. Students who stay can get help from me in any subject, not just the subject I might teach them.

Additionally, I am a member of the Policies and Procedures Committee here at Metz so if you have a concern or an idea of how we at Metz can help things to run more smoothly for the students, staff, and community, please feel free to share your thoughts.

Our Mustangs are doing well as we head into the winter months.
