Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Ronda Brown
In 1973, I proudly graduated from Osbourn Senior High School in Manassas, Virginia, and began my undergraduate studies in Health and Physical Education at Longwood University in August 1973. Upon graduating from Longwood in 1977, I returned to my home town of Manassas, where I have worked for the Manassas City Public Schools teaching Health and Physical Education for 43 years. In addition, I was the Athletic Director and Student Activity Director at Metz from 1990 - 2007, and have previously coached girls' track, basketball and softball.
I hold advanced degrees in Sport Management, Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Development and Educational Leadership and Supervision of Personnel.
The vision I have for the students at Metz is one of creating new and exciting opportunities of exploration through activity in order to support their growth and development. It is wonderful to work with the children of some of my "former" students as I can fondly remember the successes of their parents when they were young students in class and see the talent which has been acquired by the next generation.
