Hi, I'm Mr. Souza! I am the band director at Mayfield Intermediate School in Manassass, Virginia. I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor's degree in Music Education. My primary instrument is percussion, but I love playing every other instrument as well. This is my seventh year at Mayfield. In the past, I have worked with several high school marching bands in Virginia and with the George Mason University Indoor Drumline. Aside from teaching band at Mayfield, I am also a member of the D.C. Army National Guard Band where I play percussion. My interest in music education stemmed from my passion for playing and listening to music. Some of my other passions include spending time with my family, writing and arranging music, exercising, traveling, and taking pictures.
