Miss Ashley Lubold

I am one of the three art teachers here at Mayfield Intermediate School. I currently teach 5th and 6th-grade classes. This is my tenth year teaching in MCPS and my ninth year at Mayfield. I started out at Metz Middle School teaching 7th and 8th grade for one year. I also taught one year at Baldwin Intermediate School.

I was born and raised in the great state of Pennsylvania. I graduated from Lycoming College located in Williamsport, PA with my bachelor's degree in art. I received my Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governors University. I recently received my +30 graduate credits through Colorado State University and Medaille College. I moved to Virginia in pursuit of my teaching career. I like to stay involved within the school by organizing the Art Club and Yearbook Club. I've been blessed to have several of my students win state, national, and worldwide art contests.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends. My hobbies include traveling, creating art, scrapbooking, volunteering, and staying fit! I love to create art in my free time, including painting, drawing, and photography. I have created many freelance paintings for baby rooms, sports dens, and family pets. In my travels, I have been able to visit 26 countries and 39 states. My favorite countries that I've visited include Iceland, Italy, and Germany. The most interesting countries I've visited were China and Morocco! I enjoy scrapbooking to document my life adventures. The main organization that I volunteer for is Relay For Life through the American Cancer Society. This organization helps you stay well, get well, find cures, provides programs and services, hosts fundraising events, and passes laws to defeat cancer. I enjoy staying fit and healthy by going to the gym, bike rides, hiking, and lifting!
