Hello! My name is Kim Urban and I teach 6th grade Language Arts. This is my sixth year of teaching, and my sixth year at Mayfield Intermediate! I have a B.S. in Education from California University of Pennsylvania, and I hold certifications in Elementary (K-6) and Special Education (N-12). I have taught Language Arts for 6 years, and this will be my second year teaching Social Studies. I also coach volleyball at Metz Middle School. In my spare time, I like to play sports, watch sports, run, walk, bike, hike, and camp. I also love traveling and going to concerts. I enjoy helping out and volunteering, and can often be found after school or on the weekends at school events. I have found my home among the 6th graders at Mayfield Intermediate. This special age group mixes independence, intelligence, and humor in the best way! As a lifelong student, I hope to go back to school to obtain my Master's Degree.

This year, I am most excited about growing as an educator with my students as we both learn new things!
