My name is Jamie Nitowski and I teach 5th grade Math and Science. I have a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree from George Mason University. This is my 29th year of teaching and I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade. My teaching career started at Weems Elementary. I was there for 12 years and then came to Mayfield when it opened in 2006. I have been very fortunate to work with some amazing people at both schools and have had the pleasure of teaching many awesome children throughout my career.

I live in Bristow with my husband, Bob, and we have 3 children; Olivia, Luke and Lexie. We have 2 chocolate labs named Kelby and Lilah. My favorite things to do are read, spend time with my family and friends and going to the beach.

This year I want my students to, obviously, learn as much as they can, but I want them to enjoy coming to my class each day. I want them to know that I am glad to see them and that they are part of our classroom family.
