I have about 20 years of experience in education and have previously taught in Venezuela, Mexico, Massachusetts, Vermont, but I’ve been here in Virginia public schools since 2006, mostly in the role of ESOL teacher K-12. I also teach at Northern Virginia Community College. This will be my 9th year with MCPS and my first at Haydon Elementary. I have a BA in Anthropology from Wellesley College and a Masters of Arts in Teaching ESOL from The School for International Training. I am currently working on a Master’s in Reading Education at the University of Virginia. I speak Spanish and Nepali. In my spare time I lead environmental stewardship events like biological stream monitoring and invasive plant removal in my community. I am proud to be supporting language and literacy development at Haydon!

Tengo alrededor de 20 años de experiencia en educación y anteriormente he enseñado en Venezuela, México, Massachusetts, Vermont, pero he estado aquí en las escuelas públicas de Virginia desde 2006, principalmente en el papel de profesor de ESOL K-12. También enseño inglés en Northern Virginia Community College. Este será mi noveno año en MCPS y el primero en Haydon Elementary.
