My name is Akane Hanson and I am the music teacher. I earned my bachelor's degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and have taught in Pennsylvania and Virginia. My teaching experience includes elementary general music, instrumental, and choral. Though I like to play the piano and ukulele in my classroom, my primary instrument is the trumpet.

I am originally from Japan but my family lives in western Pennsylvania. I enjoy traveling and have traveled to countries such as Korea, Japan, and Italy. I look forward to getting to know our Haydon students and families!
