My name is Rachael Fodness and I am the Librarian.  I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-6 and a masters degree in Library Science K-12 from Kentucky.  I have worked for MCPS for the past twelve years and have seven years experience teaching in both Ohio and Kentucky.  I am heavily involved with in school activities, such as, National Young Readers day,Read Across America, Virginia Readers Choice, VA Reads, and Jumpstart Read for the Record.

This year, I'm very excited to spend the school year with our budding learners encouraging them to read a variety of materials and more readily.  I want to build on their curiosity and interests. Since we are a school wide Dual Language school, I have added more blingual and Spanish books to help our students.
