Ms. Lam is an ESOL teacher who has been working with English learners since 2000. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees abroad. She is pursuing her PhD in theoretical linguistics at George Mason University.

Her "why" for teaching is to help students to develop the language skills they need to become independent learners and positive members of the community. 

In her free time, Ms. Lam enjoys listening to classical music and learning different languages for fun.
