Ms. Kimberly Jones

Ms. Jones has worked in public schools since 2011.  She began her work with Fairfax County Public schools (FCPS) as an Instructional Assistant and then a Developmental Reading Teacher for high school students with emotional, behavioral or social challenges in the Special Education setting.  During Ms. Jones' first year of teaching, she received the First Year Outstanding Teacher for FCPS.  Ms. Jones transferred to Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) in 2014 and continued her career as a Special Education Teacher instructing English Language Arts and reading in the self-contained and inclusion setting at Sterling Middle School.  She also served as the Special Education Department Chair from 2019-2021.  In 2021, Ms. Jones received the SEAC Award for Outstanding Special Education Teacher in LCPS.  Ms. Jones continued her path in Special Education and became Special Education Dean for Sterling Middle School and Stone Hill Middle School for the 21-22 school year before moving to Baldwin Intermediate as the Reading Support Teacher.  

Ms. Jones is currently finishing her internship for her post-graduate program at The George Washington University for Educational Leadership and Administration.  She will begin her second M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction-Reading Education at The University of Virginia in the fall 2022. 

Ms. Jones loves an adventure and outdoor activities like skydiving, jet skiing, hiking, and parasailing.  Ms. Jones has played soccer her entire life and played during her undergraduate years at a Division 1 school in Tennessee.  She cherishes spending time with her family and has many siblings.
