Mrs. Andreea Gabudeanu
Dear families and students,
I am half Albanian and half Romanian. I grew up in Bucharest in a house full of books and whispers. My parents dedicated themselves to my severely ill brother. So, I read. The books were gradually my friends, my relatives, my teachers and my land of symbols. Our home library helped me escape my geography, my age, and the gray years of communism. During the last two years of the communist regime, I experienced some dark times as a child as I started to speak my mind and follow my creative side. I survived an educational system that was violent, ruthless, and blind. I connect with my students and their life stories. I believe the role of the teacher is to help students find their voice and build their inner strength! This is my 15th year of teaching, so a new adventure begins. At Metz this year I will be teaching with the Physical Science team in 8th grade.
