Hello! My name is Seneca King and I teach 3rd grade at Haydon Elementary School. I am from Centreville, VA and I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I received a master’s of teaching in elementary education. This year is my second year teaching and I am so happy to call Haydon home. I am proud to be Haydon's New Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. This year I look forward to creating a respectful environment where my students feel safe to grow as learners and community members. I hope to give students the tools they need to succeed and to find their passion through education. I can’t wait for a wonderful school year!

¡Hola! Me llamo Seneca King y doy clases del tercer grado en la Escuela Primaria Haydon. Soy de Centreville, Virginia y asistí a la universidad “Virginia Commonwealth University”, donde obtuve una maestría en Enseñanza en Educación Primaria. Este año es mi segundo año de ser maestra y estoy muy feliz de considerar Haydon mi hogar fuera de casa. Estoy orgullosa de ser la Maestra Nueva del Año de Haydon para el año escolar 2021-2022. Este año espero crear un ambiente respetuoso donde mis estudiantes se sientan seguros para crecer como estudiantes y miembros de la comunidad. Espero brindarles a los estudiantes las herramientas que necesitan para tener éxito y encontrar su pasión a través de la educación. ¡No puedo esperar a tener un maravilloso año escolar!
