Mrs. Christy Harris
Mrs. Harris grew up in Kentucky - graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and loves being in the classroom! Mrs. Harris has four children and a background of being an active duty army wife for almost 30 years. She has lived in Germany, South Korea and in the United States in Georgia, New York, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky and Colorado. Her hobbies include playing the piano, singing, alpine skiing and crafting.
At Baldwin Intermediate she teaches 5th grade Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies. This is Mrs. Harris's 3rd year teaching at Baldwin Intermediate and her 5th year teaching. In her classroom, students are writers, mathematicians, historians, critical thinkers, scientists, creative, loved, challenged, encouraged and celebrated! She teaches because she sees hope in every student. Mrs. Harris's favorite quote is from Rita Pierson that says, “Every child deserves a champion-an adult who will never give up on them. Who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.” She will always fight for what is best for your student. Her hope is that this year brings growth academically, socially and emotionally for each student that comes through the doors of Baldwin Intermediate.
