My name is Carlos Gómez, and it is an honor to be a part of Haydon Elementary School as a member of the ESOL team in third grade. I am originally from Colombia, where I finished my Bachelor's studies in English and Spanish. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Saint Michael's College in Vermont. I am a proud father of a Biological Engineer daughter from NC STATE. It is my fourth year at MCPS, and I look forward to supporting the Community and guiding students in developing their language and academic skills.
 
Mi nombre es Carlos Gómez, y es un honor ser parte de la Escuela Haydon Elemental como miembro del equipo de ESOL en tercer grado. Soy originario de Colombia, donde terminé mis estudios de Licenciatura en Inglés y Español. También tengo una maestría en la enseñanza del inglés como segundo idioma de Saint Michael's College, en Vermont. Soy un padre orgulloso de una hija que es Ingeniera Biológica de NC STATE. Este es mi cuarto año en MCPS, y espero ser un apoyo para la Comunidad y un guía para los estudiantes en el desarrollo de sus habilidades lingüísticas y académicas.
