Mrs. Lurlene Nestor
My name is Lurlene Nestor. I teach eighth grade ESOL students, levels 1 and 2. I also co-teach in two (2) eighth grade Language Arts classes. I was born and raised in Guyana, South America. My teaching career started there. I attended the Cyril Potter College of Education, in Guyana, where I attained my teaching certification. I also hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Sociology and a Bachelors’ Degree in Law from the University of Guyana. I acquired my teaching credentials in the U.S, through the Career Switchers Program. I’m certified to teach a number of courses, both at the high and middle school levels. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Strayer University. I’m also a fellow of the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, Washington DC. I love teaching, and I enjoy working with our students.
