My name is Rebecca Lunsford and I teach ESL at Haydon. I have been at Haydon for 10 years!  Last year I was a 4th-grade classroom teacher and my goal is to go back into the classroom once my daughter starts kindergarten.  I have a B.A. in Political Science from Lynchburg College (now Lynchburg University) and a M.A.T. in Elementary Education from Liberty University. When I first started at MCPS, I worked at both Round and Haydon. Before MCPS, I lived and worked in Dallas, Texas. I taught pre-K for 3 years, while living in Dallas for 6 years. I met an amazing friend there who helped me see that teaching was my passion and what I wanted to do for the rest of my career. I now have a daughter who is 4 years old and she is truly the love of my life. She is going to be in Pre-K at Haydon this year.  I love being a mom and a teacher! I am super excited for the new year!
