Teaching biology is a dream come true for me. It is my goal to enlighten and inspire my students to become better people as well as students. I am excited to pass the knowledge and experience that I have accrued to the next generation of scientists, doctors, and scholars. To learn a little more about me, please continue scrolling down.
Education: I attended and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school in Portsmouth, VA. Then, I attended VWC and TCC for a short time. Later, I graduated from ODU with a B.S. in Biochemistry. With the dream of becoming a great scientist, I attended EVMS, where I graduated with my M.S. in Biomedical Science. Realizing that teaching was definitely my calling, I enrolled into The College of William and Mary where I graduated with my M.A. in Education.
Why teach?: There is nothing in this world that I would rather do. Seeing someone's face light up when they realize that they learned something new or they finally understand a new, difficult concept is what I enjoy most about teaching. My grandmother told me when I was young to "leave it in better condition than you found it." As a teacher, I can think of no better way to improve the quality of someone's life than through education.
