• National Honor Society

    Pauline Smith Chapter

  • The National Honor Society is more than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

    The 4 pillars at Osbourn:

SCHOLARSHIP: a cumulative average through spring of their sophomore or junior year of 3.5.

LEADERSHIP: recognized leadership roles in the school and/or community since attending Osbourn High School.

SERVICE: specific service activities to the school and/or community while attending Osbourn High School.  Although service may be done in conjunction with a school class (i.e., peer counseling), the student should also have service work beyond the school curriculum.

CHARACTER: Student’s citizenship and character should be above reproach in the classroom and in the school and community.
