Mr. Robert Nitowski
Freshman Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to the Osbourn Freshman Academy. I am privileged to be given the opportunity to work as an assistant principal at Osbourn High School, under the leadership of Mr. Michael Pflugrath, our principal. Many of you might know & recognize me from my time at Grace E. Metz Middle School. I look forward to working with your child as they make the important transition from middle school to high school. It will be an exciting and inspiring year as we transition together to the high school environment.
The Freshman Academy model provides support by organizing students into teams to help promote the concept of Small Learning Communities. Each team will consist of interdisciplinary teams in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. This team concept will assist incoming 9th graders in adjusting to Osbourn High School standards, routines, and expectations.
The Freshman Academy wishes to prepare our students as future leaders and productive citizens. In order for all students to attain maximum achievement in all areas, we need your full and continual support to make Osbourn High School better each day. By working together, faculty, parents, students, and community, we can accomplish the goals of the Freshman Academy:
*To help students attain their maximum academic potential
*Provide students with guidance for setting short and long - term goals for acdemics and a lifetime.
*Contribute to the success of the student academic and social skills for high school and beyond.
*Build and foster relationships so students enjoy attending school each day.
The faculty and staff wish all students a very successful academic year. Please continue to visit our website for information regrading the Freshman Academy and Osbourn High School.
I look forward to a great school year,
Robert J. Nitowski
