Ms. Rosa Jimenez
Hello Parents and Students.
I am a native New Yorker. I've been teaching for 30+ years. My teaching experience began in Salinas, Puerto Rico. I was later recruited to work for Springfield, Massachusetts, where I worked as an ESOL specialist, assistant principal and then principal for an competency-based high school. After working for 8 cold winters in Massachusetts, I relocated to Orlando, Florida; there I was the head of the ESOL department as ESOL Compliance. Now, currently teaching English at Metz Middle School and enjoying every minute of it!
Educationally speaking, I earned my bachelor's degree in English Secondary Education with a minor in Elementary Education from the Interamerican University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I went on to the Pontifical Catholic University for my Master of Education with a specialization in Teaching English as a Second Language. Later on I enrolled at Springfield College's leadership program in Massachusetts. There I earned a specialist degree (CAGS) in Educational Administration.
Each year at Metz is just as exciting as the year before as I gain new experiences from my entering students.
