    All Manassas City Public Schools have recently been inspected in accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and with the Commonwealth of Virginia and Federal Requirements. This notification is to inform all local residents that asbestos-containing materials are present in the school buildings.

    A copy of each school’s Management Plan, which contains exact locations of the asbestos-containing materials, is present in each school office. Alternatively, the original plans and all-subsequent 6 month periodic and 3 year re-inspections can be reviewed at the Department of Facilities and Maintenance; 8500 Public Works Drive.
