Due to the Governor's executive order closing all Virginia schools for the remainder of the year,
the dinner program will resume during the 2020-2021 school year.
MCPS Dinner Program Information
About the program
All Manassas City Public Schools students (ages 18 & under) can enjoy free dinner during designated times throughout the school year. The dinner program is geared towards fighting childhood hunger, reducing high rates of childhood obesity, and providing meals for students who attend after-school enrichment programs. Students are encouraged, but not required, to attend after-school programs in order to receive meals. Healthy dinners include high-quality protein, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables and low-fat milk.
The MCPS Dinner Program was recognized as a Virginia School Boards Association 2019 Food for Thought Award winner in the category of "Meal Access to Fight Hunger".
