• Classroom lessons:  We visit each classroom each month to teach a lesson. These lessons address character education, and other developmental issues. Additionally, lessons focus on three domains: academic, career, and personal/social. All of the lessons follow the American School Counseling Association National Model (ASCA).

Individual Counseling:   Individual counseling is also available to students at the request of students, parents, or teachers to address issues with peers, discuss stress steming from a variety of areas and coping strategies.  Students wanting to see the counselor are asked to complete a self-referral form (found in their classrooms or on my office door) and drop it off at the counseling office.  Additionally, we try  to have lunch with students throughout the year as possible. This allows us to get to know each one of the children in a relaxed environment.

Small Groups:  Small groups are available for your child based on individual needs. Student participation in small groups may be requested by students, parents, or teachers. Typically, groups meet once a week for 5-6 weeks.

A permission slip will be sent home with students for parents who would like their children to take part in a group.
