Classroom Guidance

  • All students at Round receive a series of classroom guidance lessons, once every 4 weeks, which are taught in the library as part of the R-O-U-N-D rotation.  These lessons are developmentally appropriate for each grade level and are generally preventative in nature.  The following topics will be addressed in classroom settings over the course of the year. 

    Counseling Lesson Topics Include:

    • Introduction to Counselor

    • Bully prevention

    • Decision making

    • Exploring college and careers

    • Communication

    • Friendship

    • Positive self-esteem/self-confidence

    • Feelings

    • Goal setting

    • Peer pressure

    • Study skills

    • Stress management and coping skills

    • Teamwork
