Use PowToon to create fun and engaging animated presentations using the tools provided. Music can also be added to the background. This was used to create the Handwashing Campaign presentation shown during braodcast in December!
Thinglink can be used to embed information into a photograph. Students can participate in a "trasure hunt" while they explore a topic.
Haiku Deck is a presentation creation tool. It includes many images that are free to use under Creative Commons. The presentations can also be converted into pdf or PowerPoint.
Prezi is a presentation creation tool that is more interactive than a typical PowerPoint. An educator account allows a greater variety of options than the regular, free account for classroom use.
Digital Storytelling:
Meograph allows the user to creative a 4-dimensional narrative experience. Options include embeding information, creating a timeline and a map and adding narration.
Underlined is an online reading and writing community. Members can post their writing and receive feedback from other members.
This tool provides blank pages for students to type, draw and import images to create a story. It also includes plenty of stock art for students to use.
Animoto uses ardinary video clips and photos and turns them into dynamic presentations. Music or voice over can also be included as an added effect. Book trailer creation is one great use for this tool.
Manage and Organize:
Kaienza allows teachers to leave voice comments on students' work in Google Drive. It works with both Google Docs and Google Slides.
Social Networking & Communication:
Create a quiz or survey to review topics that students can respond to using any web-enabled device. A great way to incorporate a game-based format!
Plickers is a student-response tool. However, Instead of using a mobile device, Plickers uses a teacher's iPad or Android tablet in conjunction with printed QR codes distributed to students.

This teacher online tool can be used to "flip" your classroom and collaborate with peers from anywhere.
